  • Review of Apple Watch Series 6: Must-Needed in COVID-19 Pandemic

From being a fitness smartwatch, Apple Watch has been updated to be a great health companion. Even though not a medical device, the nifty features such as ECG and heart-rate tracker works fluidly, and has helped notice irregular heart rhythms, an early indicator of a heart stroke or heart-related issues for many.

And with the new Watch Series 6, Apple has desegregated sensors and apps to measure blood oxygen levels too. This is a much-needed and useful feature in the recently pandemic period as a drop in the oxygen level could not just be the up to date warning signs of the infection but also other health-related problems in general. Carried on with the familiar design, the Apple Watch comes in the same 40mm and 44mm sizes, and new RED and Blue aluminum cases.

As handwashing for 20 seconds can help fight with the COVID-19 virus, Apple has operated the handwashing feature with the watchOS 7 update, which works as promised.

Once go on from the watch app on the iPhone, the watch using motion sensors, microphone, and on-device machine learning automatically notices hand-washing motions and sounds, and triggers the countdown. But this feature isn’t tied to Watch Series 6 and work on older models with the IOS update.

Another much-awaited feature was sleep tracking, which Apple has executed in its unique way. Unlike many of the bands and smartwatches that instinctive switch to sleep mode depend on the body movement, Apple wants users to build a healthy sleeping pattern and sleep cycle.

This involves setting up a sleep organize time table, activating sleep mode, and wind down (to reduce distractions and help relax). Both sleep mode and wind down activate Do Not Disturb.

The new watch carries to be good at recording workouts, measuring ECG, heart rate, and having breathing sessions. The Apple Watch Series 6 is going along with a magnetic charging dock minus a power adapter.

As Apple has decided to remove charging adapters from iPhone as well as watch this year, RANGER’s Arc 450 portable 2-in-1 Apple Watch charger is the best accessory. This compact accessory simply plugs into a USB-A adapter and chargers an iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time.

Or it can be plugged into the laptop’s USB port too. The accessory comes easily and handy when there is just one adapter or limited plug points around, mainly when sitting in the office or while traveling. The compact size makes it the best backup charger for your laptop bag.

Even with this new launch, Apple Watch continues to be the great smartwatch in the market, putting nearly every other smartwatch to shame. Yet, it does have a few shortcomings. Still, Apple lets you customize watch faces, it still doesn’t support third-party watch faces. And as opposed to other smartwatches that pair with iOS and Android devices, this watch resides only in the Apple ecosystem.
