Bengaluru’s People’s life is getting back on track with companies and businesses as they have resumed normal operations. Bike rental businesses, office-goers in the Bangalore city have started renting two-wheelers to commute to work.

Animesh Kumar the Director of Automotive Consulting at GlobalData said that “The impact is likely to be witnessed beyond COVID-19 pandemic recovery poses an existential threat to many mobility service providers as COVID-19 is expected to change consumer travel preferences in the near-term. The outbreak is likely to  bring a huge impact on the trust of public transportation as well as shared mobility and customers are likely to find private vehicles safer.”

According to reports, more than 35 percent of respondents claimed that they want to change their mode of transport for work trips post COVID-19, they want to avoid places like busses and metro to avoid crowds. It will be safe for everyone if they will use these services and it will help them to maintain social-distancing. Most of the people prefer private vehicles instead of public transport. It seems that people have known that safety is the first priority for everyone.

Bounce and Vogo have witnessed an increase in their booking of two-wheeler and because of this they will be able to overcome their huge loss which they have suffered due to lockdown and coronavirus pandemic. Bounce stated that they are using an anti-microbial coating on the surface of vehicles which will remain effective for up to two months and they are doing to ensure the safety for their customers. Vogo has also started the doorstep delivery of the vehicle and is also providing sanitation right in front of the customers for their safety measures.
