Snapdragon 888 SoC, the chipset which is soon going to power Android flagship phones in 2021. Xiaomi and Realme will be the first two brands launching smartphones with the latest SoC (System on a Chip) featuring a fully integrated 5G modem, gaming, AI smarts, and photography followed by OnePlus, OPPO, Asus, Vivo, Motorola, Sony, ZTE, Sharp, and Nubia. Here is the list of smartphones that will come with Snapdragon 888 SoC.
- Mi 11
Mi 11 is the first brand officially confirming to use the Snapdragon 888 chipset and is set to launch as early as possible this month. The specifications are yet to be revealed but the phone will come with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, at least 6GB RAM, Android 11, and 120 W fast-charging.
- Realme Race
Realme is also going to launch its Android device, code-named “Realme Race” with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The smartphone is going to provide blazing performance and gaming performance. The Realme Race is rolling out in India soon. The smartphone is similar to the OnePlus 7T with a curved rear panel and a round camera module that will enclose four camera sensors.
Realme Race hasn’t announced its specifications officially, but it is expected to come with Android 10-based Realme UI 2.0, 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage.
- OPPO Find X3
OPPO Find X3 will be the first from the brand to use Snapdragon 888. The smartphone is going to rock with its “full path color management system”, which is the first Android color management system supporting a full DCI-P3 wide color range in addition to 10-bit color width. The specifications of OPPO Find X3 are yet to be known.
- Red Magic 6
Red Magic 6, which is said to be the first gaming smartphone embedded with Snapdragon 888 chipset. The smartphone specifications aren’t revealed yet.
- Nubia Z
Nubia-Z series is another phone from the Chinese phone maker that will use Snapdragon 888 SoC. There is no information about its specifications till now.
- ZTE Axon 30
Nubia’s parent company ZTE will also enclose the Snapdragon 888 chipset in its smartphone “ZTE Axon 30”. The smartphone is going to be a “Camera-Centric” smartphone because of the chipset’s new Qualcomm Spectra ISP that is marked to capture photos and videos up to 2.7 gigapixels per second.
- OnePlus 9
OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are highly predicted to launch with Snapdragon 888 chipset. The design and specifications of the OnePlus 9 include a 6.67-inch curved display, punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is predicted to run on an Android 11-based Oxygen operating system, to handle the software side. The phone is sure to come with a 65 W fast-charging battery.
- Redmi K40 Pro
Redmi K40 Pro will be the first smartphone from the Xiaomi brand to come with Redmi K40 Pro. The smartphone is rumored to come with a punch-hole Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display, 120Hz refresh rate, and more than 33W fast charging solution.
