Ola : Let its riders to give tip to drivers

Ola has announced a new feature in which riders can pay tips to their drivers. During the coronavirus pandemic, the ola services were still open and drivers were serving rides to people, so this feature is rolled out to give a tribute to those drivers. In this, the riders can show their gratitude and rewards to drivers for delivering safe and high-quality ride experience.

The tip is considered as a token of appreciation for their drivers. This feature has been rolled out in some countries including India, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Ola has launched a social media campaign #SayThanksWithATip, to spread awareness about this feature, and in this people will know about the initiative taken by Ol to give a reward to the drivers for serving a great ride experience during these crises.

Soon this feature will be available on apps, in this the tipping feature will be shown in the last after the final step of the payment phase. The customers can select a fixed or customized amount for these drivers.

The feature will be applicable to all categories including Ola Auto, bike, and others. For example, if a person has taken a ride and his total amount is Rs 120, then he/she can give an appreciation amount of Rs 50 or more to express the gratitude towards that driver.

Ola and many other ride-hailing apps have also resumed their services after the lockdown ease. There will be a set of guidelines for the riders and drivers to comply with the safety norms as per the company’s announcement. It will be necessary for both the drivers and riders to wear masks during the journey.

The trip will be canceled in case any one of them is not wearing a mask. The company has announced that drivers will sanitize their cars and motorcycle after every ride and will also undergo fumigation every 48 hours. Ola has provided the safety kits to drivers because safety is their priority.
