  • Google introduces a native version of Chrome for Apple’s Arm Macs

Google is planning to introduce a Chrome model that will run natively on Apple’s Arm-based computer systems. Apple Silicon chips will be created using Neural Engines and Machine Learning (ML) accelerators making it ideal for ML. These chips incorporate a high-quality camera processor, high-performance controller, a higher-executing DRAM, uniform memory, and cryptographic acceleration.

Users will be able to download this version of Chrome on an Apple Silicon Mac by visiting the Chrome Download Page. There, the two options will be shown to download the Chrome, one “Mac with Intel chip” and “Mac with Apple chip”.

The earlier Chrome version is made for Intel also runs well on MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook Mini but this native version is specifically designed for Apple Silicon as it is optimized for the new M1 chips.

Google Chrome 87 rolls out some notable speed improvements applied through tab throttling and better resource management. The latest Chrome version also provides additional Chrome actions that can be executed through the address bar in addition to a tab search option.

Deep integration between software and hardware is what makes the iPhones unique.  Apple’s custom chips are going to provide tight security with Secure Enclave and have high-performance graphics potential.

Apple Silicon chips will bring a totally new level of performance with its more powerful Macs that are more energy-efficient than Intel chips. Apple is focusing on delivering the highest performance possible consuming minimum power. It has decided to transit away from Intel to boost Mac’s capabilities and make it stand apart from the competitors.
