Google has been operating on tightening its protection lately. The corporation has to do this by ensuring the apps available on the Play Store are safe for all varieties of Android customers around the globe. Now, Google has eliminated 11 apps from its app save as they were infected with Joker malware. The search massive has been monitoring these apps when you consider that 2017.

According to reports, a new edition of the Joker malware was present inside valid apps. Using this malware, the hackers had been capable of making customers subscribe to top-rate services without their knowledge.

The Joker malware has been located in eleven apps on the Play Store. Check Point stated that Google has eliminated all these apps from its app shop. Android users who may additionally have any of those apps installed need to get them eliminated immediately. The list of apps detected include –

  • com.Contact.Withme.Texts
  • com.Hmvoice.Friendsms
  • com.Relax.Relaxation.Androidsms
  • com.Cheery.Message.Sendsms (two specific instances)
  • com.Peason.Lovinglovemessage
  • com.File.Recoverfiles
  • com.LPlocker.Lockapps
  • com.Remindme.Alarm
  • com.Training.Memorygame

Google banned over 1700 malicious apps from the Play Store this year. These apps have been also stricken by the notorious Joke malware. Google claims that those apps had been removed even before users could download it. 

The Joker malware is difficult to detect, despite Google’s investment in adding Play Store protections. Although Google removed the malicious apps from the Play Store, we can fully expect Joker to evolve again. Everyone ought to make an effort to recognize what Joker is and how it hurts regular people.
