Delhi Government to launch Corona App

On Tuesday the Delhi government announced to launch a Corona app for android users which will provide the status of availability of ventilators and beds in hospitals. The motive behind this app is to help people find healthcare facilities against COVID-19 easily near their area. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that this app will be helpful and useful for both the government and private hospitals.

Through this app, users will get a list of hospitals that are providing the facility for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. It will show all the details of the number of occupied and vacant hospital beds and ventilators available to help people in case of any emergency. This app will support both Hindi and the English language and it will provide a separate list of private and government hospitals.

Users can download this app from Google Playstore. It will also contain self-assessment tools, guidelines, and helpline for people in case of emergency. It will also provide the essential links of services such as ration, e-pass, and hunger/ shelter relief centers. It will show the information about active COVID-19 cases and no. of patients who have recovered and total deaths till now.

Also, users can dial 0131 helpline number, and details will be provided to them through an SMS. The app will be updated twice in a day at 10 Am and 6 PM.  Currently, there are a total of 2,07,615 active cases in Delhi, and a total of 1,00,303 people have recovered and the total number of deaths is 5,815. So this app will be very useful for people to find hospitals providing facilities regarding COVID-19.
