  • BSNL landline, broadband users can convert with existing numbers to Bharat Fiber

Government-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has allowed its landline and broadband users to start Bharat Fiber by using their existing numbers. According to the telecom company, the landline connection Bharat Fiber connection is introduced because of the usage of high data schemes available across India.

According to the scheme, landline and landline and broadband customers can operate their landline number to Bharat Fiber Voice or Bharat Fiber Voice and broadband connection. Now, for converting customers’ existing landline number to fibre category BSNL has developed and implemented a new software update in their system through which existing landline numbers can be upgraded to BSNL FTTH, Kerala Telecom easily.

BSNL Fiber services give public IP to each customer. Double VLAN tagging provides security for customer data and transactions with free landline calls all over India with GST bills.

For converting landline or broadband numbers to FTTH users must obey these steps:

  • A request should be submitted to the customer service centre for the transfer to BSNL.
  • Currently, landline users can use the migration option on next-generation networks (NGN) which belong to ZTE, UTStar and Huawei. BSNL now upgrade their converting process of existing landline customers with old networks.
  • Customers have options to select any of the existing Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH) plans at the time of application. An automatic billing process accounts for customers’ Existing deposits. After conversion to BSNL FTTH, the existing landline number and broadband user ID will be the same.
  • There are initial charges for migration to FTTH such as Fiber modem charges, Installation charges and Fiber modem will be applicable as a security deposit for modem rental cases. If a local cable operator or telecom infrastructure provider makes the connection, only the installation charge should be paid.
  • BSNL FTTH connections can be booked by Book My Fiber Portal or My BSNL App.
