  • Because of some problems Gmail, WhatsApp faces global outage

Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp loses several users across the globe. Many users complained about disability to send or receive messages and some even reported about the connection loss during communication in various parts of the world.

A tweet was shared where it was stated that the issue with WhatsApp has happened for the server-side. WhatsApp is experiencing negative feedback for several users because of the lesser possibility to use the service due to low server.

As per reports, the latest WhatsApp has restored its services now. According to DownDetector, the issues faced around 9 pm last evening. More than 66 percent of users had trouble with connection issues, 32 percent of users had problems with not sending or receiving messages and one percent of users faced problems with logging into their account. DownDetector shared outage map which showed that in the South America region, some parts of the US, WhatsApp majorly experienced an outage problem.

WhatsApp was getting issues on the same day when the user’s Google Services stopped working in several countries including India. Services like Google, Gmail, and Google Drive were mostly affected. The users faced a problem like receiving or sending messages and even uploading attachments. A pop-up message showed on the screen when users upload any attachment. When someone login to their Gmail accounts “Oops, something went wrong.” message appears. Some users were also unable to access theirs after several attempts.

The tech giant didn’t disclose the cause behind the outage. But they reported that the problem of Gmail service can be resolved and Google restored the Gmail services. They also apologize for the inconvenience and said that system reliability is a top priority at Google. They are trying continuous improvements for better systems.
