Amazon Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) and Fire TV Stick Lite are the two popular range of streaming devices. The new Fire TV Stick variants provide up to full-HD resolution streaming. This device was a redesigned user interface of Amazon’s Fire TV OS, which will be launched later this year introducing new features.
After four years of the release of Amazon Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), the new Fire TV Stick of 3rd Gen will be available for sale in India on October 15, and it is already available for pre-booking.
The price of Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) is Rs. 3,999. The streaming device connects to a television or monitor by using the HDMI port, and the drawing power by a wall adapter is plugged into a power outlet. A remote is also available with the Fire TV Stick of Rs. 7,198 which is capable of controlling power and volume, in the user interface.
The key difference from the previous devices is that it is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor which is 50 percent more powerful than the Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen). A redesigned interface of users of Fire TV OS contains user profiles, improved search and content discovery, and access to Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. 8GB of internal storage for apps and app data is also available.
Amazon states that a full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution is supported with HDR streaming at up to the HDR10+ format. The working process of HDR needs 4K at the hardware level, which supports the formatting software level. The Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) is also supported by Dolby Atmos Audio.
The Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite is priced at Rs. 2,999, which has specifications like up to full-HD resolution at 60fps, software-level supporting HDR formats, 8GB internal storage, and the access to Alexa and other new features.
