The world’s largest vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute of India (SII), is working to raise a fund of Rs 7,500 crore ($1 billion) in respect to the development of the coronavirus vaccine. Pune based SII, made a contract with AstraZeneca for producing Oxford’s coronavirus vaccine. They discussed with the private equity firms like Blackstone, KKR, philanthropists for raising funds for developing the coronavirus vaccine.
