COVID-19 to pushed 150 million people into extreme poverty

It is expected to rise in global extreme poverty for the first time in 20 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The World Bank said that conflict and climate change with this pandemic have already pushed 150 million into poverty. Poverty and Shared Prosperity Report said that the pandemic resulted in 88 million to 115 million in extreme poverty or spending their life on less than $1.50 per day.
