In the previous financial year the company, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance settled claims of Rs 700 crore of which nearly 5 per cent were on account of Coronavirus related deaths. The company corporate had settled a complete of 1,70,000 claims. Acknowledging that the condition between last year and the current year is totally different, all people are just not specializing in creating the infrastructure.
According to Bajaj Allianz life Insurance MD and CEO Tarun Chugh Last year, the first quarter claims were down as people were engaged in handling the lockdown and the COVID-19 itself. But, our expectations this year is that the claims would be much more this year given the sheer volume of the deaths that are happening.
