At Least 36 US states and Washington DC have filed a lawsuit against Google, alleging that the search engine giant’s control over its Android app store violates antitrust laws. As Google has not allowed any Android to serve as open-source for dozens of years, effectively cutting off potential competition, the lawsuit alleged.
A complaint of 144 pages was filed late Wednesday in Northern California federal court which represents the fourth major antitrust case filed against Google by government agencies across the US since last October.
