Apple might launch a HomePod Mini at its high-speed event. As per rumor around the market, the Cupertino giant could unveil a HomePod Mini in addition to the iPhone 12 series on October 13. The rumor also reveals that the HomePod Mini will not only be smaller but also more budget-friendly than the HomePod Mini. It is also a wonder to come with interesting features.
As per reports, the new small speaker by Apple will be known as HomePod Mini, which will be cost at $99. The speaker will have a small case factor and would be 3.3-inches high. The original HomePod is around 6.5 inches high. The HomePod Mini will be powered by an S5 Processor which is powered by an Apple Watch SE.
The HomePod Mini will supposedly go on sale on November 16-17. Bloomberg has claimed that the new smart speaker would include two tweeters as opposed to HomePod’s seven.
In addition to the HomePod Mini, there was a rumor of Apple upcoming its first-ever premium headphones AirPods Studio on the October 13 event. Yet, as per the latest rumor on Weibo by Kang, the AirPods will not come up anytime soon. Jon Prosser had also committed that “AirPods Studio will NOT be in the event.”
And now coming back to the HomePod Mini, some rumor has maintained that Apple will continue selling the HomePod along with the new model. The HomePod Mini would compete with the much low priced range of smart speakers by Amazon and Google Nest Audio.
Amazon came up with a few smart speakers including the Echo Dot and Echo Show in this year’s 2020event. However, Apple will always have an edge over the other smart speakers because of its supercilious sound quality that cannot be matched.
