Housing Sales May Rise 30% In 2021

Housing sales are likely to rise by 30 per cent across seven major cities to nearly 1.8 lakh units in 2021, according to Anarock research, housing sales are expected to increase 30 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) to 1,79,527 units across seven cities in 2021 from 1,38,344 units last year.

In 2019, housing sales stood at 2,61,358 units across seven cities — Delhi-NCR, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. The consultant also estimated sales to further rise in 2022 and 2023 to 2,64,625 and 3,17,550 units, respectively.

Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri said: “The residential sector was showing healthy year-on-year growth from 2017 until the latest the peak year of 2019, but this trajectory was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Otherwise, 2020 was expected to be a watershed year for the housing sector”.

The offer is valid for AirAsia flights booked till 6th August to travel from 1st September 2021 to 26th March 2022. The fares are all-inclusive one-way fares available on limited seats. The offer is only valid for non-stop flights on various sectors across AirAsia’s domestic network such as on Imphal-Kolkata and Imphal-Guwahati routes, according to the airline’s website or which is the cheapest under this AirAsia India offer.

AirAsia India did not disclose the number of seats on offer under this promotional scheme. “Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights,” the airline said on its website. AirAsia India is a joint venture between Tata Sons and Malaysia’s AirAsia Berhad.

A non-refundable processing fee is applicable for payments via credit, debit or charge card and the fares include airport taxes (except for selected airports where airport tax is collected at the point of departure), said AirAsia India.

Wipro Logs ‘Best-Ever’ Q1 With Growth Of 21% In Business

The Bengaluru-based company Wipro Ltd posted its “best ever” quarterly earnings on Thursday, with chief executive Thierry Delaporte steering a turnaround of the software services provider that has lagged behind its rivals for much of the past decade. 

The company said fiscal first-quarter profit rose 35% to ₹3,230 crores from a year ago, beating analyst estimates by a wide margin. Revenue grew 22.4% to ₹18,250 crores in the three months to 30 June. Analysts expected profit and revenue of ₹2,826.2 crore and ₹17,602.6 crores, respectively, according to a Bloomberg survey.
