In the new academic session 2021-22, college students of 149 universities could be allowed to earn up to 40% of their required credit from among the many over 800 online programs out there on the Swayam platform. 

The academic bank of credit (ABC) would additionally turn into useful from the forthcoming educational session, which will probably be a repository of the credit earned by a pupil. Once the code fulfils the entire credit required, she or he will be granted the diploma.

Sum of 149 universities includes central universities like Jamia Millia Islamia, University of Allahabad and Mizoram University. State universities like National Law University, Delhi, University of Calcutta, University of Kerala and over 75 private and deemed universities have all approved the credit transfer from these online courses.
