Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel both are reported modest sequential growth in mobile revenue and average revenue per user (ARPU) in the June quarter, while Vodafone Idea (Vi) is set to suffer declines on both metrics due to a fall in data consumption coupled with the impact of free recharges doled out because of low-income users.
Analysts said that Jio and Airtel are likely to notch up decent customer additions in the fiscal first quarter, likely at the expense of cash-strapped Vi, where customer losses are set to jump again due to its inability to fight rivals on the 4G front.
