Rejuvenating the Ganga : World Bank to give $four hundred million for support

In a bid to rejuvenate the Ganga river, the World Bank and the Government signed a loan agreement to enhance aid for the Namami Gange Programme. The $four hundred million operations contain a loan of $381 million and a proposed Guarantee of up to $19 million. The agreement of $381 million mortgages was signed by both parties including Sameer Kumar Khare, Department of Economic Affairs, Additional Secretary, and Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of India and Mr. Qaiser Khan, Acting Country Director (India), from the World Bank.
