HDFC Bank shares touched the highest record to cross Rs 8 trillion in the market capitalization for the first time in Indian history. The private bank now stands at the third position in the net market capitalization. CLSA said the semi-urban and rural geographies make a 35-50% credits and deposits (CD) ratio for HDFC compared with the 77% for the country as a whole which shows its significance under penetration and the bank can take advantage of its wide range of products, scorecard methodology, and widespread to gain share here.
