Govt. to launch a new quarterly employment survey from March

The government is going to amalgamate the two existing surveys – the Quarterly Employment  Survey (QES) and the Area Frame Establishment Survey (AFES) and will launch a new quarterly employment survey, “All India Quarterly Base Establishment Survey (AIQBSE)”. This survey will focus mainly on filling the assessment gaps to analyze the real employment situation in the country. D P S Negi, Chief Labour Commissioner said, “the government considered it important to scale up the sample size so that a comprehensive survey is conducted.”
