The Walt Disney Company declared a month ago that it would be suspending 28,000 employees at its theme parks across the world. In India, since the company took over Star India in 2019, near 400 employees from its 3,000-odd worker’s force have been unemployed. Immediately after Uday Shankar’s Disney-Star Chairman, exit from the company was declared last month, there was a report that 40 employees from its film production business, Fox-Star Studio, were asked to leave.
